Who we are

Bridge the Gap Consultants is a marketing, technology, and strategy consulting firm serving nonprofits, social enterprises, and small businesses. You can reach us any time at hello@btgconsultants.com with questions about this policy or about information we hold.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. We don't require an account, and we don't track you across other websites.

• Contact form: your name, email address, organization name and type, the service you're interested in, and your message.
• Project request form (Partner With Us): your name, email, organization name, website, location, a description of your mission and challenge, the services you're interested in, your timeline, budget range, and how you heard about us.
• Application form (Join Our Team): your name, email, location, portfolio or LinkedIn link, skills, experience level, background, preferred engagement type, availability, and start timing.
• Donations: if you give through our Fund a Project page, your payment is processed by Donorbox and Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We receive your name, email, and donation amount from Donorbox.

Why we collect it

One reason: to have a conversation with you about working together, whether as a client, a contributor, or a supporter. That's it.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We will not add you to a newsletter or marketing list without asking you first. When our forms say "nothing else, no lists, ever," this policy is the commitment behind it.

Who else touches your data

We're a two-person firm, so we rely on a few services to run this site. Each of them has its own privacy policy:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions on our behalf.
• Donorbox and Stripe process donations and handle all payment information.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site.

We don't share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we're legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for as long as we might reasonably still be in conversation with you (generally no more than two years) and delete them after that. If you'd rather we delete yours sooner, just email us.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete it entirely

Email hello@btgconsultants.com and we'll take care of it. No forms, no hoops. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We'll honor those requests regardless of where you're located.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party ad networks. If we add privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful, we'll update this policy to say so.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfect, but we don't hold onto more than we need, which is the best protection there is.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

A note on donations

Bridge the Gap Consultants is a for-profit consulting firm, not a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions to our Fund a Project program are not tax-deductible. We say this on the donation page too, but it belongs here as well.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If it's a significant change and we have your email because you contacted us, we'll tell you directly.
